Alcanea Cafe and Wine Bar

Really lovely wine bar tucked away from the busy port in Chania. Great selection of wines as well as more than a few beers. The food was really nice too! Good portion size when sometimes lunch in Chania can be almost feel like an evening meal. We sat out on the chairs outside in the sun looking over the port. Lovely place to spend the afternoon in Chania. It’s also right next to the maritime museum and the fortress for abit of culture too!

Excellent cafe. Very friendly staff. Very very good Greek coffee! Location is perfect. Amazing view of the Venetian harbour. Best place to chill out in Xania! :)

I ordered a ham and cheese panini/sandwich and a double cappuccino - it came with a glass of water and a small biscuit. All were delicious and filling. The atmosphere itself makes this place worth visiting, as the music contributes to a relaxing atmosphere and vibe. I discovered so much good music from being here, which is always good . Moreover, a credit to the hard-working staff who ensure that the business runs smoothly, and a shoutout to the lady who took my orders and hosted me during my stay here. Wish I had discovered this place earlier, but I hadn’t actually visited this part of the port until my last day in Chaniá. This cafe / bar / restaurant is located right outside the Maritime Museum of Crete. It is the ideal place to visit if you have spent a few hours on your feet walking around the museum, like I did. Overall, nothing but good words to say about this place. Tasty and affordable food, a variety of options, outstanding and relaxing music, chilled atmosphere away from the main tourist areas of Chaniá, and friendly staff. Definitely try this place!

Cute little cafe in the old Venetian port but tucked away from the beach foot traffic and crowds. Lovely relaxed ambiance under the vines. Good wine selection and non alcoholic drinks, limited food selection. Great place to chill.

Lovely little spot to watch the world go by. Surprised at how reasonably priced it was. Great view, lovely staff who appreciated my poor Greek

This wine bar is pretty basic and simple, but I liked it a lot. It has a great view and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to unwind. It’s a good place to finish off the day, enjoying a nice glass of wine while taking in the scenery. Definitely a chill place to hang out!

I loved this family business Caffè shop, I got warm welcome by Greek people, they offer delicious food, nice drinks, coffee. I loved the atmosphere there. They got beautiful view to the harbour. Efharisto poli
